Job Description As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Monterey, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic education location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions. Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate campus contacts and emergency responders as needed. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization when required, and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or policy violations according to site procedures. Prepare clear and accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A Guard Card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
