Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to uphold safety and security across our premises. In this vital role, you will monitor the environment through surveillance systems, conduct regular patrols, and ensure compliance with security protocols. Your proactive approach will help prevent incidents, assist visitors and staff, and respond swiftly to emergencies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a secure environment while developing your skills in security operations. Responsibilities Conduct routine patrols of the facility, including building interiors, exteriors, and access points to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and identify potential security threats. Control access to the premises using access control systems, verifying identities and maintaining logs of visitors and staff. Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations, following established emergency response procedures. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for record-keeping and future reference. Assist with performing background checks on visitors or contractors as required by security protocols. Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions or inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor. Qualifications Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of surveillance technology, CCTV operation, access control systems, and emergency response procedures. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or safety purposes. Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and Taser use is highly desirable. Strong conflict management and de-escalation skills to handle tense situations calmly and effectively. Familiarity with fire safety protocols and physical security measures such as patrolling and incident report writing.
