Our goal is to provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. We're looking for dependable team members who take pride in their work and understand the importance of operating a safe property. Job Summary Security Guard duties will include conducting regular patrols throughout the property, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a public-facing environment. Responsibilities Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity. Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual occurrences within the location. Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry. Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, tenants, and property management regarding security-related matters. Support emergency response efforts as directed by the emergency response plan. Qualifications Possess a valid CA guard card Be at least 18 years of age Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a public, high-traffic environment Ability to stay on task without direct supervision Strong attention to detail and time management skills Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods Availability for evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts as needed
