AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity. Monitor access points and visitor activity, support authorized entry procedures, and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations. Assist with campus-related events, after-hours building checks, and routine interactions with the location community while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
