Valid California Guard Card Valid Drivers License and clean drivers record: Please be prepared to show H6 at interview Completion of the BSIS-required 40 hours of security training Current CPR Certification 1-2 year's Experience Vehicle patrol Experience de-escalating conflicts in a professional setting Position Summary District & Charter Patrol is seeking a professional, dependable, and proactive Campus Safety Officer to provide security services at a school campus. The ideal candidate has recent experience working in schools, hospitals, or other youth-centered environments and possesses excellent communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills. This position requires an individual who can remain calm under pressure, respond appropriately to emergencies, maintain a visible security presence, and accurately document incidents while fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patrol and monitor assigned campus areas to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors. Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, disturbances, and other incidents. Professionally de-escalate conflicts while exercising sound judgment and maintaining a calm demeanor. Conduct routine inspections of doors, gates, windows, and campus grounds to maintain security. Enforce school policies and campus regulations in a fair and professional manner. Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely incident reports. Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or suspicious activity. Request assistance from law enforcement, fire, or medical personnel when necessary. Maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service at all times. Follow all CVC laws and regulations while driving Minimum Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of recent full-time security experience required. Experience working in a school, hospital, or youth-related environment is strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience responding to incidents and de-escalating conflicts. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during stressful situations. High level of professionalism, integrity, and reliability. Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Ability to walk and stand for 8 to 10 hours per shift in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry 10 to 15 pounds.
