A Campus Security Officer provides security for property at university and school campuses. Monitors entrances and patrols buildings, watches for intruders or vandals; reports building maintenance problems; deals with customers or visitors that create a disturbance in the building.
California Miramar University is seeking a reliable and student-focused Part-Time Campus Assistant to support evening campus operations at our San Jose location. This position serves as a welcoming on-site resource for students, assists with classroom technology and attendance monitoring, supports campus events, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.

Strong performance may lead to consideration for a full-time position Key Responsibilities Welcome students and provide general campus and orientation assistance. Provide in-person student support and respond to student questions during scheduled hours. Perform regular classroom checks and accurately monitor and record student attendance. Assist with classroom setup and basic technology issues under the direction of the IT Administrator. Troubleshoot hands-on classroom issues and escalate complex technical matters appropriately. Maintain daily checklists and monitor classroom supplies, books, and facility conditions. Maintain campus cleanliness, organization, and readiness for students and staff. Coordinate with maintenance and facilities vendors regarding scheduled services under the guidance of the Site Manager. Support the planning and execution of campus events and activities. Close the campus at the end of the shift, including checking doors and securing the facility. Identify and report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns to the Site Manager. Research potential vendors and provide recommendations when requested. Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Manager. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in customer service, student services, office administration, campus operations, or a related area. Basic familiarity with classroom technology and troubleshooting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and respond professionally to student and staff needs. Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to walk through campus facilities, assist with classroom setup, and perform closing procedures.
