Our Patrol Division plays a key role in supporting client properties, responding to security concerns, securing amenities, conducting property checks, and providing field support to standing officers across the county. Expectations of the Patrol Officer In this role, you will patrol an assigned route throughout San Diego County, visit client properties multiple times per shift, complete lock-ups and property checks, respond to calls for service, and document all activity accurately. Patrol Officers are trusted to work independently, make sound decisions, follow post orders, communicate clearly, and represent City Wide Protection Services with professionalism at every site. This position requires maturity, strong judgment, safe driving habits, attention to detail, and the ability to stay alert throughout an overnight shift. Pay and Bonus Opportunity Base pay starts at $23.00 per hour and may increase up to $25.00 per hour , depending on experience, qualifications, availability, and overall fit. In addition to hourly pay, Patrol Officers may be eligible for KPI performance bonuses of up to $4,500 extra per year . KPI bonuses are based on measurable performance factors such as attendance, professionalism, report quality, route completion, safe driving, post performance, client feedback, supervisor evaluation, and overall reliability. Key Responsibilities Patrol assigned routes throughout San Diego County. Visit client properties multiple times per shift based on route expectations. Conduct property checks, foot patrols, lock-ups, unlocks, and amenity checks as assigned. Respond to security-related calls, alarms, and requests for support. Provide backup and field support to standing officers when needed. Identify and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, maintenance issues, trespassing, policy violations, and unusual activity. Communicate professionally with dispatch, supervisors, clients, residents, tenants, visitors, and law enforcement when needed. Use mobile reporting software and company systems to document all site visits, incidents, patrol activity, and calls for service. Follow all company policies, client expectations, route instructions, and supervisor directions. Operate company patrol vehicles safely and responsibly. Maintain issued equipment, vehicle cleanliness, and a professional appearance while on duty. Qualifications Valid California Guard Card required. Must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes. Clean driving record required. Valid California driver's license required. 3 years of patrol experience preferred. Applicants may also qualify with 5 years of progressive standing officer experience, or a combination of standing and patrol experience. Smartphone with internet access required. Reliable transportation to report to the main office required. Computer literacy required. Professional demeanor and appearance required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write detailed and accurate reports. Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
