Immediate Hiring — Event Dates 7/22-7/26 We are hiring now to staff Night in the Country in Yerington, NV. Positions must be filled before July 20 — apply today to be considered. About the Role High Rock Security agents work festivals and live events with a focus on community engagement, de-escalation, and safety. This role supports vibrant event spaces while helping attendees feel safe, respected, and welcome. You'll work a variety of posts — bag check, access points, perimeter, stages, crowd management, administrative support, troubleshooting, and more. Ideal for people who thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments. We staff events year-round in Reno, NV, so this can be the start of long-term work with us! Pay $15.50/hr starting pay rate for Event Staff (no Guard Card required). $18.50/hr for Agents who currently or will obtain a Guard Card (High Rock Security will help you obtain Guard Card). What to Expect This is a contracted, part-time, event-based role. All new hires start as Agent 1 (prior experience may accelerate your level). Agents provide their own transportation and are able to walk to and from assigned posts. Local (Yerington resident) applicants are strongly preferred— If you live close enough to the event site you can commute to and from home for each shift. Camping is available (if you're not local): An onsite camping area is allocated for agents. Some resources will be provided on site. If you plan to camp onsite, you must come prepared for conditions typical of the desert. Expect heat, sun exposure, and changing weather conditions throughout the event. Bring everything you need for a multiday camp out. Bring items you need in order to feel comfortable. Some recommendations on what to bring: Tent Shade (canopy, tarp, etc.) Water, food, electrolytes, snacks Water bottle Cooler Sleeping bag Flash light Hygiene products Clothes good for layering (keeping in mind changing weather conditions) Guard Card You do not need a Guard Card to work this event. If you already have one, you'll start at the higher pay tier. If you don't, we'll help point you toward the process (application + fingerprinting, typically 2-4 weeks) so you can move up to $18.50/hr for future events. Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must obtain and maintain a valid Security Guard license (Guard Card/ Work Card) if pursuing the higher pay tier, per PILB requirements. What You'll Need to Do Observe, report, and stay situationally aware. Patrol on foot or hold a fixed post. Use a two-way radio and communicate clearly. De-escalate tense situations and resolve issues positively. Maintain a professional appearance, punctuality, and preparedness. Work with minimal supervision. Stay off personal cell phones except for work-related use. Document incidents, assist with emergencies/evacuations/crowd. control as needed, and work collaboratively with the team.
