Overnight Safety and Security Specialist - Part Time 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 1 Hope Drive, Tustin, CA 92782 $22.50 an hour - Part-time Orange County Rescue Mission 50 reviews $22.50 an hour - Part-time The Orange County Rescue Mission is currently looking for an Overnight Safety & Security Specialist. This position will be responsible for answering phones, greeting visitors, checking program members in and out, and handling all tasks related to the front desk, including nightly patrols and monitoring of security camera activity. This position has a schedule of Friday and Saturday (overnight) from 10:00pm-2:00am. There may be occasions when OCRM will need you to extend your hours or days depending on the needs of the company at that time. The hourly rate is $22.50. Orange County Rescue Mission is a Christian faith-based nonprofit organization that serves the homeless in our community. The men, women and children who enter the gates of the Orange County Rescue Mission come from many walks of life and are all wounded in different ways. Some are highly educated, many are survivors of abuse, addiction and abandonment. None of these people ever imagined they'd be homeless and they all need our help.
JOB DUTIES
Greet all students, visitors, volunteers, donors, vendors, and potential intakes and provide helpful information. Answer incoming calls from various sources. Transfer calls to the appropriate individual or departmental voicemails. Secure doors and monitor access to the Village of Hope campus for authorized personnel by maintaining accurate entrance and exit procedures. Maintain strict control of all keys and access badges, logging them out appropriately and complying with access privileges. Doing nightly key and badge audits. Follow emergency procedures, including those involving medical requests, 911 calls, emergency exits, and alarms. Visually monitor security cameras; report any suspicious activity to emergency personnel, security department, or the on-duty case manager or other appropriate staff member. Support the safety and security team, and case management with the communication of student activities and concerns, notifying the appropriate staff members to resolve any conflicts, if needed. Maintain daily activity and incident logs. Conduct nightly patrols on and around the Village of Hope campus and parking lot, locking down the campus, inspecting for security issues, and reporting any safety issues or suspicious activity. Respond to, communicate, follow up, and provide updates on all incidents as they occur, and complete Incident Reports when needed. Complete monthly safety audits such as fire extinguishers and eye wash stations.
QUALIFICATIONS
A personal relationship with Jesus, good working knowledge of the Bible, signed acknowledgement of the
Statement of Faith Education:
High school diploma or certificate to prove education equivalency
Experience:
6 months of security experience. Experience working in social services, ministry or counseling is preferable but not required First Aid, CPR, & AED Certification preferred but not required California Security Guard Card preferred but not required Able to act professionally and think promptly in an emergency or crises situation; able to learn and consistently use communication equipment.
