DMV Job Descriptions Job description: DMV Job Descriptions We, at D.C Private Investigations and Security Consultants, are a growing business in the Security and Investigations industry. We have immediate openings for Armed Security Officers. We encourage Ex/Retired-Law Enforcement and Ex-Military who were either retired or honorably discharged to apply and those with 3 years of Armed Security. Must be 21 and over to apply for this position. 2 Professional References will be requested upon initial interview.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Armed and Unarmed Security at our client's Business location.
• Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Secure perimeter Observe and Report Crime to local law enforcement agencies when needed.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent any security breaches
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
• Enforce property rules and regulations to ensure compliance
• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential security risks or hazards
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of any security-related incidents

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Strong surveillance skills with the ability to identify suspicious activities or behavior
• Understanding of basic law enforcement procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle conflicts or difficult situations calmly and professionally
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Security Guard license/certificate
• Must be able to pass a background check and pass a written Component Test
• You must own a weapon that is a full size semi-automatic handgun, No Revolve, No Compact or Sub. (9mm, .40 or 45 are acceptable).
• This position requires the individual to be able to stand, run, bend, crouch, kneel, sit, climb stairs for extended periods of time during your shift and walk up to 10 miles during any given shift.

Must be able to bend and twist the body when needed. Must be able to repeat some movements for long periods of time without getting tired or out of breath. React quickly using hands, fingers, and feet. Applicants must be able to complete the following physical activities:

• 10 Push-ups within 2 minutes
• 20 Squats within 2 minutes
• Complete 40 step-ups (up and down) within 2 minutes
• Half (1/2) a mile walk in under 10 minutes
• Demonstrate adequate finger dexterity to safely handle equipment and perform fine motor tasks. Some assignments do include working outside in inclement weather. Must be able to lift 25 pounds and up. Must be able to write clear and concise reports of incidents which have taken place on your shift.
