This position is responsible for protecting personnel, property, and facilities while maintaining a safe and secure environment at assigned client locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, situational awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to follow established security procedures and site-specific protocols. An active Secret security clearance is required for this position. Job Responsibilities Monitor and secure assigned buildings, facilities, and property Control facility access by verifying identification, credentials, and authorization Conduct routine interior and exterior foot patrols Perform security inspections of assigned areas Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and common spaces Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and unusual activity Maintain accurate daily activity reports, visitor logs, and incident documentation Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors Enforce company, client, and site-specific security policies and procedures Coordinate with supervisors, management, emergency personnel, and law enforcement when necessary Maintain confidentiality regarding client operations and sensitive information Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty Follow all company safety, security, attendance, and reporting requirements Complete other security-related duties as assigned Qualifications Active Secret clearance required High school diploma or GED required Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional during stressful situations Reliable transportation and consistent, punctual attendance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and situational awareness Ability to follow written post orders and verbal instructions Ability to complete detailed daily activity and incident reports Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills Must be authorized to work in the United States Must be able to satisfy applicable background, licensing, and client requirements Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods Ability to perform interior and exterior patrols in varying conditions Site-Specific Security Duties Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Access Control Verify employee, contractor, and visitor credentials Monitor facility entrances and exits Maintain visitor logs and required sign-in procedures Confirm visitor authorization before granting access Issue and recover temporary badges when required Prevent and report attempted unauthorized access Follow established procedures for deliveries, vendors, and after-hours access Patrol Duties Conduct scheduled and unscheduled interior and exterior patrols Inspect doors, gates, windows, and other access points Check designated secure and restricted areas Monitor parking lots and surrounding property Identify and report suspicious activity, property damage, and safety hazards Document patrol activity accurately and promptly Immediately report unsecured doors, alarms, or other security concerns Incident and Emergency Response Respond to alarms, emergencies, and unusual situations Follow established emergency-response and notification procedures Complete accurate incident and activity reports Notify supervisors, client representatives, and emergency personnel when required Assist with evacuations and other emergency procedures Preserve incident scenes and relevant information when appropriate Remain at the assigned post until properly relieved or released by an authorized supervisor Professional Standards and Compliance Follow all client and company security procedures Review and comply with assigned post orders Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information Comply with all site-specific security and access requirements Maintain a clean and professional uniform appearance Report to work on time and prepared for duty Remain attentive and alert throughout the assigned shift Refrain from unauthorized phone use, sleeping, or other distracting activities while on duty Maintain respectful and professional communication with employees, visitors, clients, and coworkers Schedule Full-Time Position Employees will generally be scheduled up to 40 hours per week based on operational and client requirements Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required Schedule and assigned work location may vary based on client and site requirements Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility are essential Compensation $27.00 per hour Benefits Eligible full-time employees may receive: Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with a 6% company match Paid time off (PTO) Paid sick leave Paid training Supportive and professional team environment All benefits are subject to applicable eligibility requirements, waiting periods, company policies, and plan terms.
