Tuesday to Saturday | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Overnight) Position Overview Citadel Security USA is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Unarmed Security Officer to support operations at a critical infrastructure facility in the Nederland area. This overnight position plays an important role in controlling site access, monitoring vehicle traffic, assisting vendors and authorized visitors, and helping maintain a secure operating environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable working outdoors, capable of responding to changing weather conditions, and able to communicate professionally with contractors, vendors, and site personnel. Key Responsibilities Site Access & Traffic Management Monitor vehicle traffic entering and exiting the facility. Verify authorization for vendors, contractors, and approved visitors. Assist with directing traffic flow in accordance with site procedures. Support gate operations and coordinate access activities with on-site personnel. Maintain accurate visitor and vehicle entry records. Security Operations Observe site activity and identify unusual behavior, safety concerns, or security issues. Conduct routine inspections of assigned operational areas. Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or operational concerns. Report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, or policy violations. Maintain awareness of site conditions and communicate concerns immediately. Communication & Coordination Provide professional assistance to vendors, delivery personnel, and authorized visitors. Maintain ongoing communication with site representatives, supervisors, and fellow officers. Relay important operational information accurately and efficiently. Support emergency response efforts when required. Documentation & Reporting Complete daily activity logs and required security documentation. Record incidents, observations, and operational concerns accurately. Maintain detailed reports that support site operations and compliance requirements. Submit reports and shift updates in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid driver's license required. Ability to safely operate a vehicle in snow, ice, and other challenging weather conditions. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently during overnight shifts. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to successfully pass required background screening. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in security, access control, gate operations, traffic management, or related fields. Experience working at industrial, utility, energy, transportation, or critical infrastructure facilities. Familiarity with incident reporting and operational documentation. Experience interacting with contractors, vendors, and delivery personnel in a professional setting. Work Environment Primarily outdoor assignment with exposure to varying weather conditions. Overnight schedule requires alertness and situational awareness throughout the shift. Regular interaction with commercial vehicles, vendors, contractors, and facility personnel. Walking, standing, and vehicle operation may be required throughout the workday. Fast-paced environment requires sound judgment and timely decision-making.
