This position is responsible for supervising Safety Hosts during assigned shifts and ensuring all team members uphold company standards of professionalism, customer service, safety, and incident management. The Safety & Security Lead serves as the primary liaison to venue management while maintaining a visible presence throughout the property. The ideal candidate has experience working in nightlife or hospitality settings and demonstrates strong leadership, excellent communication skills, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to effectively de-escalate situations while fostering a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff. Duties Supervise and support a team of 2-10 Safety Hosts during assigned shifts. Conduct pre-shift and post-shift briefings to review staffing assignments, venue expectations, operational updates, and team performance. Oversee customer line management, ID verification procedures, cover charge collection, and crowd control operations within a busy bar and restaurant setting. Monitor guest behavior and proactively identify potential safety or security concerns. Utilize conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques to address disruptive situations professionally and effectively. Complete accurate and detailed incident reports and ensure all significant events are properly documented. Ensure company policies, venue procedures, and safety protocols are consistently followed by all team members. Respond appropriately to emergencies and coordinate with management, law enforcement, or emergency services when necessary. Requirements Previous experience in security, nightlife, hospitality, loss prevention, law enforcement, military service, or a related field preferred. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to supervise and motivate a team. Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and strong report-writing skills for thorough and accurate incident documentation. Ability to manage conflict calmly and professionally while ensuring established safety protocols are followed. Familiarity with security practices, including access control, risk assessment, crowd management, and emergency response procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, venue management, guests, and external agencies. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required. Security Guard Card preferred but not required.

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
