Security Officer - Winterthur Public Safety Department (Part-Time) Winterthur Public Safety is seeking dependable part-time professionals to join our team. We are especially interested in retired law enforcement officers, security professionals, military veterans, firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers, and other public safety professionals looking to remain active in a rewarding environment. We also welcome applicants seeking weekend-only employment or those with flexible schedules who can assist with evenings, holidays, special events, and other operational needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine patrols of Winterthur grounds and facilities, using both CCTV and physical inspections. Respond to incidents and emergencies, utilizing de-escalation and conflict management techniques. Monitor surveillance systems and report suspicious activity or safety concerns. Provide first aid/CPR as needed until emergency services arrive. Enforce access control procedures for employees, visitors, and vendors. Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required. Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs. Qualifications Experience in public safety, security, law enforcement, or military service preferred. Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Strong communication and conflict resolution skills. Familiarity with surveillance systems and security operations. Ability to patrol large areas on foot or by vehicle.
