SECURITY OFFICER

Required:

No minimum education or experience requirements Must have or obtain Class D License

CPR/AED/BLS

(preferred) Employer conducts background check Employer conducts drug test Required to obtain a TWIC and MMC. Acceptable documents to obtain badging are Passport OR Government issued photo ID and certified copy of Birth Certificate. Supporting documents would be needed for a name change. Job Description Safeguard patrons and their property. Assist guests. Greeting visitors, giving directions and escorting motorists to their car. Tasks Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; controls access to ensure that employees and visitors display proper passes or identification before entering the facility Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers if deemed necessary Security officers are called upon to respond to potential hazards (such as broken lights or doors, disturbances, lost items, minor injuries, etc.) and to assist in serious emergencies (medicals, fires, crime, etc.) by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, helping to redirect foot traffic to safe locations Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Physical requirements Walk, sit, stand, stoop, bend, climb stairs and ladders Perform physical duties that may involve the regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and /or pulling of reasonably heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds) Victory Casino Cruises has Grooming and Dress Code Standards
