Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking vigilant and dedicated Licence Security Officers to uphold safety and security standards across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for monitoring premises, managing access points, and ensuring a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. Your proactive approach and keen observation skills will help prevent theft, maintain order, and respond swiftly to emergencies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a safe and secure community while developing your expertise in security operations. Responsibilities Control access to licensed areas by verifying identification and issuing permits as required Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity and identify potential threats Perform thorough background checks on visitors or contractors entering restricted zones Respond promptly to security incidents, utilizing conflict management techniques when necessary Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform CPR in emergencies Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of security equipment or materials safely and efficiently Enforce loss prevention measures by observing suspicious behavior and intervening appropriately Conduct routine patrols of premises, checking fences, gates, and surveillance systems for integrity and safety Perform first aid when needed, providing immediate assistance until emergency services arrive Maintain detailed shift reports, incident logs, and surveillance records to ensure accurate documentation of daily activities Qualifications Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable Knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and loss prevention strategies Certification in first aid (including CPR), AED operation, and conflict management is preferred Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique Familiarity with law enforcement procedures, performing background checks, and security protocols Strong observational skills with attention to detail during CCTV monitoring and physical patrols Excellent communication skills for effective conflict resolution and emergency response Physical fitness capable of standing, walking long periods, and performing manual tasks as required Join us in creating a safer environment where your vigilance makes a real difference!
