POSITION SUMMARY
The Armed Security Guard is responsible for the protection of assigned government/client personnel, property, and facilities in Miami, FL. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a visible, professional security presence at assigned fixed post to deter unauthorized access and criminal activity Control access to the facility — verify credentials, badges, and vehicle passes at entry/exit points Conduct interior and exterior patrols on foot and/or by vehicle per post orders Monitor alarms, CCTV, and access-control systems as assigned; respond to and investigate alerts Detain individuals engaged in unlawful conduct and turn over to appropriate authorities, per site Use of Force policy and jurisdictional limits Complete daily activity reports, post logs, and incident reports accurately and on time Respond to fire, medical, and security emergencies per the site Emergency Action Plan Maintain proficiency and readiness with assigned firearm and duty equipment; comply with all use-of-force and weapons-handling policies Maintain professional conduct and appearance in accordance with the uniform and grooming standards prescribed for the contract Complete all required initial and recurring training, licensing, and weapons qualifications on schedule Perform other security-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Site Manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent Florida Class D Security Officer License and Class G Statewide Firearm License Minimum age 21 Minimum 2 years of armed security experience Able to pass a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 (or equivalent) background investigation Able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing Able to complete company-sponsored guard training (use of force, authority/jurisdiction, weapons) and pass initial and semiannual weapons qualification Able to meet the Physical Ability Test standard: 19 push-ups/2 min; 1.5-mile run in 17:30 Valid driver's license in good standing Good conduct/character; no disqualifying criminal history
