This role involves leading a team of security personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies, managing incidents, and maintaining a safe and secure environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of security protocols and procedures. They are also a self-directed professional who can work independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment in daily responsibilities and escalating only significant concerns through scheduled or periodic meetings with management. Key Responsibilities Supervise Security Staff Manage, train, and lead a team of security officers to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Provide ongoing support, mentorship, and performance evaluations to staff. Site Operations Oversight Coordinate and oversee all security operations at the assigned site, including patrols, surveillance monitoring, and access control. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure operational effectiveness and compliance. Incident Management Respond to and manage security incidents, including emergencies, breaches, or disturbances. Ensure proper escalation, documentation, and resolution of incidents. Client Interaction Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their security needs are met professionally and efficiently. Conduct site walkthroughs and address client concerns promptly. Reporting Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on site activities, incidents, and staffing. Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company standards. Policy Enforcement Ensure compliance with company and site-specific security policies, as well as health and safety regulations. Staff Scheduling Create and manage schedules to maintain adequate staffing at all times. Handle unforeseen absences or shift changes efficiently. Training & Development Provide ongoing training and guidance to security personnel to ensure high performance and adherence to security standards. Risk Assessment Conduct regular risk assessments of the site and propose improvements to strengthen security protocols. Qualifications Required Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security services, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle high-stress situations. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in using security monitoring systems and technology. A valid Security Guard D license. A valid Security G license or have the ability to obtain one within six months of hire. A valid Florida driver's license. Preferred Prior experience supervising multi-site or high-traffic security operations. Experience with incident investigations and report review/approval. Familiarity with client-facing security environments (commercial, residential, or special events). Knowledge of Florida private security regulations and compliance standards. Experience with scheduling, workforce management, or dispatch systems. Training or certification in conflict management, use of force, or de-escalation techniques.
