Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Officer to uphold safety and security within the footprint of a large marina and property. This applicant needs to be in good physical shape as there is a bit of foot patrolling on docks and boat yards. This position is temporary but could be a great opportunity for the right individual to join our team if interested and this temp fill in goes smoothly. This position will begin in mid Aug. and will be 2 nights per wk. ( 10 hr shifts) It needs to be understood that the individual accepting this position will be experienced in overnite detail and sleeping is not accepted. Please reach back if you are this candidate. 3 Weeks, 2 nites per wk, 10 hrs per nite. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential hazards or security vulnerabilities. Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting suspicious activity immediately. Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring safety during medical emergencies until professional help arrives. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security reports for record-keeping and future reference. Requirements Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV operation and monitoring techniques. Excellent conflict management abilities with a calm demeanor under pressure. Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and emergency response procedures. Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods while maintaining alertness. Effective communication skills to interact professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders.
