Tampa, Riverview, Clearwater & Port Richey, Florida About the Position P3 Staffing, in partnership with a local Security Company, are seeking experienced School Safety Officers who have already completed and been certified as a Florida School Guardian through a local Florida Sheriff's Office. This position is ideal for a professional School Guardian who is ready to put their training and experience to work protecting students, faculty, staff, and school property. This is NOT a training position. Applicants must already have successfully completed the School Guardian certification process and maintain all required credentials and recertifications. Required Qualifications Applicants MUST meet the following requirements: Previously completed and been certified as a School Guardian through a Florida Sheriff's Office School Guardian certification and all required qualifications must be current and in good standing All required Guardian recertifications must be current Must possess all licenses and credentials required to legally perform the duties of a School Guardian in Florida Must be able to provide documentation verifying current certifications and credentials Must have their own duty gear and equipment appropriate for the position Professional appearance and demeanor Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in high-pressure situations Ability to interact appropriately with students, parents, faculty, staff, and law enforcement personnel Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Must be able to successfully complete the company's hiring and screening requirements

Responsibilities:

School Safety Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while serving as a professional security presence on campus.

Responsibilities may include:

Protecting students, faculty, staff, visitors, and school property Maintaining a visible security presence throughout the assigned campus Monitoring campus activity and identifying potential safety and security concerns Responding appropriately to emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents Enforcing established school safety and security procedures Conducting security patrols of assigned areas Monitoring access points and assisting with campus access control Communicating effectively with school administration and appropriate emergency personnel Preparing clear and accurate incident reports and documentation Maintaining situational awareness and responding appropriately to developing threats Working cooperatively with school administrators, staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders Performing other security and safety duties as assigned
