Position Summary:
Provides safety and security for all residents, guests, visitors and entire Sailfish Point property. Reports directly to the Shift Sergeant.
Major Responsibilities:
Security Maintains key control for all residences and buildings on property. Responsible for authorized entries at all entry points, i.e., front gate, marina, helipad, etc. Monitors electronic security and surveillance camera systems. Performs road patrol and substitutes as security sergeant as needed. Writes Security condition reports and submits to Shift Sergeant. Safety Administers basic first aid and CPR as needed. Responds in person as first response to all member and staff emergency requests. Ensures safe parking and traffic enforcement during special events.
Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, guests, contractors, fellow employees and outside security agencies. Must qualify for "G" license annually. Must successfully complete First Responder training within one year of hire and remain qualified. Must be able to administer medical first responder assistance after training. Must be able to write clear, concise security condition reports. Basic computer skills desirable.
Education/Training/Certificates/Licenses:
Two years experience in law enforcement, military, security or related background. Florida state "D" license required. Florida state "G" license required. First Responder certificate within one year of hire.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to alternately sit and stand for several hours each day. Must be able to patrol in vehicle and on foot in all types of weather. Must be able to stand and remain alert for long periods of time, both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to be physically active in order to respond to emergency situations. Must be able to work any assigned shift, as Security is a 24-hour operation. Due to the nature of the security position, uniforms are required and provided by Sailfish Point.
