Culpepper & Associates Security Services Inc. is seeking Unarmed Security Officers to work at the Georgia
CBOC & VA
located in Blairsville, GA. As a Security Officer, working in a clinical environment, you will serve and safeguard the United States Veterans' Affairs (VA) property and their customers. As Security Officers, we are responsible for the surveillance of the client's healthcare premises and the protection of their staff, patients, and visitors. We also provide customer service in a friendly and professional manner, helping when needed or asked. Responsibilities Provide a safe and secure environment for VA patients, visitors, and employees. Perform security service duties through professional and positive interaction with VA patients, employees and administrators. Provide emergency and non-emergency assistance. Document safety hazards, incidents and criminal activities. Intercede in disputes between individuals using verbal de-escalation techniques and skills to diffuse potentially violent patient, employee, or visitor situations. Observe activity to enforce VA rules/regulations, alert visitors of infractions. Assist individuals on VA property needing directions or information. Perform other duties as assigned. Must have at least 2 years security experience or law enforcement experience. Must have a High School Diploma or GED Must possess excellent public relations/customer service skills, and good written and oral communication skills. Be at least 21 years of age. Successfully pass a criminal background investigation. Successfully complete a physical examination and drug screening. Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment; work closely with medical and nursing staff to resolve patient-related issues/problems.
