In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding property, monitoring surveillance systems, and providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help prevent incidents and ensure compliance with all security regulations, creating a secure space for everyone. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed. Operate access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors. Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across various areas and identify potential security threats. Write detailed incident reports documenting any irregularities, security breaches, or accidents that occur during your shift. Perform background checks on visitors or vendors as required, ensuring compliance with security policies. Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response protocols. Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety standards. Experience Prior experience in security or law enforcement is highly desirable, providing familiarity with security procedures and emergency response. Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and access control platforms is essential. Physical security experience including patrolling, manual handling, heavy lifting, and performing background checks will strengthen your application. Demonstrated ability to write clear incident reports and maintain detailed logs is important for accountability.
