Officers deter incidents through patrol, monitoring access points, verifying credentials, responding to alarms, and completing required reports. Minimum Qualifications Must be able to obtain Security Officer/Guard License (state required) Minimum 18 years of age Duties & Responsibilities Conduct foot patrols of assigned areas Monitor and control access points, doors, and gates Verify IDs, badges, and visitor credentials Operate basic access control and surveillance systems Prevent unauthorized entry and tailgating Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies Complete daily activity and incident reports Enforce Post Orders and site security policies Assist employees and visitors professionally Required Skills & Abilities Strong situational awareness Ability to remain calm under pressure Basic computer/tablet reporting skills Availability for weekends and varied shifts Physical Requirements Stand or sit 1 hour Walk ½ mile Climb facility stairs Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Prior security or customer service experience preferred Note Duties may expand based on site-specific access control or security requirements.
