Job Description
Security Officer 177 Description
- Reports to:
- Branch Manager or Account Manager Shift
- Thursday and Friday, 3 pm
- 11 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 11 pm-7 am
Job Summary:
- This position falls under the direct supervision of the Account Manager or Branch Manager and is responsible for protecting, safeguarding, and securing assets, personnel, customers, and visitors at assigned sites.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safeguard the interests of the client while ensuring the safety of employees and visitors.
- Manage the entry and exit of trucks using a tablet, especially during high-volume periods.
- Stamp necessary paperwork.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Training Requirements:
- This position requires 80 hours of training, scheduled on weekdays from 7 AM to 3 PM.
- 1st
Week:
- 40 hours of training at the minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.
- 2nd
Week:
- 40 hours of training at an increased pay rate of $13.50 per hour.
- After completing the 80 hours of training, the pay rate will increase by $18.00 per hour.
Requirements:
- Must have your own vehicle, as there are no public transport options available.
- Computer skills are essential.
- Strong writing skills are required.
Job Duties:
- Protect the client's interests within the facility while ensuring the safety and security of employees and visitors.
- Observe and report signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
- Prepare daily reports as trained and submit them to the appropriate contacts.
- Complete patrols as required by post orders.
- Monitor and control access to the property according to post orders.
- Notify the proper authorities in all emergencies as outlined in the post orders.
- Report all violations of company policy and local and federal laws as stated in the Employee Handbook.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Stand for long hours.
- Be willing to work extended hours.
- Additional responsibilities may be required by the client and assigned post.
