This is a professional, daytime protective security assignment focused on keeping employees and property safe while providing a welcoming and professional presence for authorized visitors. If you're looking for an armed security position that doesn't require overnight shifts and gives you the opportunity to work in a professional environment, this may be a good fit. Schedule Tuesday-Saturday 0815-1700 (8:15 AM-5:00 PM) Consistent daytime schedule. What You'll Do Maintain a professional armed security presence. Protect employees, visitors, company property, and valuable assets. Control and monitor entry and exit. Verify authorized access to the facility. Monitor surveillance cameras and facility activity. Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and management. Identify and report suspicious activity or security concerns. Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies. Complete Daily Activity Reports and incident documentation. Follow company and client procedures. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is alert, personable, professional, and security-minded. You should be comfortable interacting with people while maintaining awareness of your surroundings and exercising good judgment. This position is a good fit for someone who takes pride in their appearance, communication, and professionalism—not just their security skills. Requirements Must be at least 21 years old. High school diploma or GED. Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening. Reliable transportation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift. Ability to obtain and maintain required Georgia security credentials. Armed License A current Georgia Armed Security Officer license is strongly preferred, but not required to apply. Military, law enforcement, armed security, or other protective-services experience is highly valued. Professional Appearance This assignment requires a business-professional appearance appropriate for the client environment. Expected attire may include dress pants, collared shirts, professional dress shoes, and occasionally a sport coat or blazer. A suit may be appropriate for certain events. Clothing must be clean, pressed, well-fitting, and professional. Training & Development Advanced Protective Services provides monthly paid training designed to keep our officers prepared, knowledgeable, and confident in their roles. Training opportunities cover security-related topics and practical skills that officers can apply in the field. About the Position This is not a traditional tactical security post.
