Job Description
This position ensures the safety of personnel, visitors, and property by patrolling premises, controlling access, and responding to incidents. Incumbents will work a maximum of 29 hours per week. There are no health benefits, paid time off, or paid holidays available for this position. This position is not available until July 1, 2026. Locking/unlocking doors Conducting regular foot or vehicle patrols of the interior and exterior grounds to identify security risks Monitor entry and exit points of the building Writing daily activity and incident reports Provide customer service Provide security at evening public meetings
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK
High School Diploma or GED Experience in security detail, either in the public or private sector required. Prior law enforcement experience preferred. Valid Driver's License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
The ability to work well with others; The ability to learn and perform basic skills and procedures designated for security personnel; Knowledgeable of all federal, state, and local laws as well as the facility policies and procedures; Must be adaptable in changing situations and work assignments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
