This energetic position requires vigilant oversight, proactive incident prevention, and exceptional customer service. As a Security Officer, you will be the first line of defense, ensuring a safe and secure environment through comprehensive surveillance, access control, and emergency response procedures. Your dedication will help maintain the integrity of our operations while providing a reassuring presence for everyone on-site. Duties Monitor premises using CCTV systems and perform regular surveillance patrols to detect suspicious activity or security breaches. Control access to the facility by verifying identities, performing background checks, and managing entry through access control systems. Respond promptly to emergencies by executing established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats; operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and perform CPR when necessary. Conduct thorough incident report writing to document any security concerns, accidents, or violations accurately and promptly. Enforce security regulations by performing physical security measures such as manual handling, heavy lifting, and maintaining secure perimeters. Engage in conflict management and de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes calmly and professionally. Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents involving criminal activity or loss prevention efforts. Skills Proven experience with surveillance technology including CCTV monitoring and alarm systems. Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and experience performing background checks. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use to respond effectively during emergencies. Strong understanding of physical security practices such as patrolling, access control management, and compliance with security regulations. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse individuals. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and emergency response procedures.
