Job Description
Overview The Security Supervisor is an event-based position that oversees Security Guards and supports event security and safety operations at the Tyson Events Center. This position provides frontline leadership and hands-on operational support to ensure guest safety and meet the needs of guests as they attend events at the Tyson Events Center. The Security Supervisor may work in other positions as needed, including, but not limited to, metal detection, bag checking, concert barricades, and general security presence. This is a part-time role with scheduling based on events. Our regular event season runs from September through May. This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00 Benefits for part-time roles: 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until October 23, 2026. Responsibilities Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.) Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned Conducts building safety inspections (normally pre-event and post-event safety checks) Admits building staff, suppliers, contractors, visitors, and guests to the facility according to established security procedures. Answers information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed. Protects equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule. Provides regular security functions within the arena and related areas prior to, during, and after all events. When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the facility Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior security experience strongly preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Able to work events as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong communication skills required. Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and select holidays, is required. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail. Must demonstrate a positive, professional, calm, and customer-focused attitude.
