Job Description As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Sweep in Markham, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech and communications location, where you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and support visitor, employee, and contractor movements in accordance with site policies and security-related procedures. Assist with incident reporting, de-escalation, and follow-up on policy-related issues while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced business environment.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
