Allied Universal is hiring a Security Operations Center Operator. The Security Operations Center (SOC) is the centralized hub which manages the security and safety issues at our client's facilities. The Security Operations Center Operator provides outstanding customer service to all calling parties while being firm following all processes in place to achieve excellent outcomes. The Security Operations Center is staffed twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The position monitors all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems and is the liaison between safety and security departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor all security, communications, and fire/life safety systems via provided monitoring systems
Answer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones, 2-way radios, and intercoms.
Accurately document routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities
Make emergency notifications necessary pursuant to policies and procedures
Proactively monitor all surveillance cameras and CCTV remote viewer programs; monitor and respond to all security/life safety system alarms
Answer and respond to events and situations received over regular and emergency phones and intercoms; speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies and non-emergency calls
Serve as the liaison between all departments and the security department
Handle (without delay) complaints and unusual/critical event information as directed by procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle
Must possess one or more of the following:
Military service
POST Certified law enforcement experience
Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in public sector dispatch or emergency operations center (PSAP, 911)
Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable data entry experience
Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable private/corporate security experience
Advanced computer skills and proficiency; proficiency with Google Applications; able to monitor and/or utilize multiple software programs at once
Ability to quickly and efficiently analyze high stress situations to determine the proper communication of events and to dispatch the proper teams to determine the best course of action to take
Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment while possibly working under pressure
Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency
Ability to communicate effectively
Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to communicate efficiently elevated stressful situations
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to multitask efficiently
Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Able to type 40+ words per minute with high level of accuracy
Able to work flexible schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
Eight (8) or more years of active service in any military branch
