Pay Range:
$19.00 - $20.00 an hour
Position Summary:
The Security Guard at Mint Cannabis plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our team members, patients/customers, and retail operations. This position is responsible for monitoring activity on-site, enforcing security policies, and maintaining a welcoming but secure environment for all guests and staff. The ideal candidate is observant, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Patrols:
Walk around an area to check for safety issues.
Access Control:
Check IDs, sign in visitors, and manage gates. Control and monitor all site access points. Ensure all gates, fences, storage containers, and restricted areas remain secured and properly locked at all times
Emergency Response:
Help during fires, medical events, or fights.
Report Writing:
Log daily activity and write reports on incidents.
Qualifications:
Must have or obtain a PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card) from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation before the start of employment. Must be at least 21 and able to obtain an Illinois Agent card
Physical Requirements:
Standing, sitting, walking. Lifting requirements (e.g., must be able to lift up to 50 pounds). Manual dexterity, repetitive motion, etc.
Work Environment:
