As a Security Officer Unarmed Roving Patrol Driver in Merrillville, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a chemical/petrochemical location. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders when needed. Document patrol findings, incidents, and daily activities accurately; communicate observations, hazards, and security-related concerns through required reports and shift handoffs.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
