Security FT, PT, PRN

Responsibilities The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of the organization's employees, visitors, and property. This role maintains a secure environment through regular patrols, monitoring security systems, enforcing policies, and responding to incidents and emergencies. During times when primary responsibilities are limited, you may be asked to assist in other areas as needed to support overall operations, regardless of the specific role. This position is essential to operations and must be staffed at all times. Therefore, the employee in this role will need to remain in place until a replacement is arranged and able to assume responsibilities. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or criminal justice training preferred; relevant experience can be substituted. Must be 21 years old Minimum 2 years of experience in security or corrections Prefer experience with behavioral health. Must be proficient in basic computer skills, keyboarding and word processing skills Knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, and surveillance systems. Assignment at the CIC requires pre-employment physical, drug screening, flu immunization and TB screening prior to starting any position. All must be completed or in process/scheduled to be cleared for new hire orientation. Annual flu vaccinations and bi-annual TB screening are required. Must have good command of the English language; must be able to read, communicate clearly and therapeutically with persons served and staff, both verbally and in writing, in a professional manner. Successful completion of criminal background check and DCF Child & Adult Abuse Registry check, and other applicable background investigations. Possess a valid Kansas driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance. Ability to work day, evening, night, weekend & holidays shifts, and on-call based on the needs of the program. Salary Range $20.67 (Will consider experience for higher starting pay) 2nd shift

• 8:30am Part Time, Fri & Sat 4pm
• 12:30pm, Sun & Mon 8am
• 4:30pm PRN, Sat & Sun 8am
