Security Officer - General Motors Join Inter-Con Security at General Motors Inter-Con Security is seeking dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officers to support security operations at General Motors . As a Security Officer, you will help protect employees, visitors, property, and facility operations while maintaining a professional and visible security presence. This position is well suited for candidates who are observant, reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in an active facility environment. What You'll Do As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting General Motors operations, responsibilities may include: Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the facility Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled access points Verify authorized access for employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols Monitor facility activity and report suspicious or unauthorized behavior Inspect inbound and outbound packages, deliveries, and materials as required Monitor pedestrian and vehicle traffic Identify and report unsafe conditions, security risks, and policy violations Respond appropriately to alarms, security incidents, medical emergencies, fires, hazardous materials incidents, severe weather, and other emergencies Support evacuation and emergency response procedures Secure incident scenes and preserve evidence when necessary Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs Follow established security procedures and post orders Communicate incidents and security concerns to supervisors and appropriate personnel Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests Minimum Qualifications Candidates must: Have a High School Diploma or GED Meet all applicable security licensing, registration, and certification requirements Be able to successfully complete required background and pre-employment screenings Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and attention to detail Possess strong communication and organizational skills Be able to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergency situations Be able to work independently and as part of a security team Be able to learn and follow established security procedures Be able to perform the physical requirements of the position Additional qualifications may apply based on the specific General Motors assignment. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to: Stand and walk for extended periods Conduct routine foot patrols Climb stairs as required Work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental and weather conditions Lift and carry up to 50 pounds when required Respond promptly during security incidents and emergency situations Why Join Inter-Con?
