Safety & Security Job Summary Provide security support by handling communications, monitoring campus activity, managing lost and found items, issuing keys, and maintaining accurate daily logs. This position is on the Main Campus, located at 1845 Loop Drive, Bowling Green, KY 42101. The job pays $14.00 an hour with a maximum of 16 hours per week. Anticipated employment is August 2026
  • May 2027, subject to employment expectations, such as dependability, punctuality, and confidentiality.
Job Duties:
  • Answer calls on the security cell
  • Radio request to security officers
  • Log officers activity into the daily log
  • Be a point of contact for the main campus lost and found A
  • move lost and found items to the security office B
  • Log lost and found items C
  • Secure lost items
  • Issue keys to employees from the outgoing key box
  • Monitor security cameras on each campus
Minimum Qualifications:
Declare a program of study. Be enrolled in at least 6 hours for the Fall and Spring semesters. Maintain a 2.0 GPA. Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) and Maximum Time Frame (MTF) requirements each semester. Have a completed FAFSA on file. The Department of Education requires ample room in the student's financial aid budget to allow for a work study award. Kentucky State Law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of Excel preferred
  • Have good communication skills in person and on the radio frequency
  • Background in call center work or dispatching preferred
