Full-Time Job Overview We are seeking a professional, disciplined, and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team in Kentucky . This position requires prior military or law enforcement experience or a minimal of 2 years as armed security and the ability to operate independently while maintaining a safe and secure environment. This role will is an independent contractor (1099) . Minimum Requirements (MANDATORY) Applicants must meet ONE of the following : Prior U.S. Military Service Valid DD214 required (must be provided upon request) OR Prior Law Enforcement Experience Verified law enforcement training credentials required (documentation must be provided) a minimal of 2 years of armed security Required Equipment Candidates must possess or obtain the following prior to assignment: Duty firearm Body armor (concealable or outer carrier) Level II retention holster or higher Licensing & Training Applicants must: Be willing to complete firearm varication Documentation Requirements All applicants must be able to provide documentation upon request, including but not limited to: DD214 (if prior military) Police training verification (if prior law enforcement) Armed Guard Card or proof of training Valid driver's license Any additional certifications Failure to provide required documentation when requested will result in disqualification. Key Responsibilities Maintain a visible armed security presence Conduct patrols and monitor premises Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures Respond to incidents and emergencies Complete accurate incident reports Professionally de-escalate situations Qualifications Strong communication and situational awareness Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure Professional appearance and demeanor Reliable transportation Must pass background check Compensation & Work Environment $25.00 per hour Initial classification: 1099 Independent Contractor Transition to W-2 employee status upon assignment to a full-time, consistent schedule Competitive scheduling Professional, structured work environment Serious applicants only.
