Hiring Agency General Government Cabinet | Department of Veterans Affairs Location 100 Veterans Drive Radcliff, KY 40160 USA Description The Radcliff Veteran Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Veterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. The KY Veterans Center Safety/Security Officer position is responsible for performing duties in providing safety and security for the Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center facilities, grounds, buildings, and transportation of residents and other duties as required. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Transports resident veterans to appointments and outings. Provides safety and security duties. Performs patrols of the buildings and grounds. Secures all buildings and maintains daily logs of persons entering and leaving buildings. Performs duties as main switchboard operator when regular operator is absent.

EDUCATION
High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
Must have two years of military, security guard/officer, safety, corrections, or law enforcement experience. Substitute

Working Conditions Incumbents working in this job title must be able to work extended hours and perform work outdoors during inclement weather. Must be able to respond to emergencies 24/7.
