Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team in Kenner, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and property through vigilant monitoring, prompt response to incidents, and adherence to security protocols.
Patrol designated areas on foot or using company-provided vehicles to monitor for suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security breachesRespond promptly and professionally to emergency situations following established procedures and protocolsMonitor surveillance systems and control access points to maintain facility securityConduct regular security checks of buildings, grounds, and perimeterMaintain detailed logs and prepare incident reports documenting all security-related activitiesManage and control the distribution of keys and access cardsCoordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessaryEnforce company security policies and proceduresAssist visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and concernsQualificationsMust be at least 21years of agePhysical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring lifting, reaching, kneeling, and bendingStrong observation and surveillance skills with attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProven decision-making and problem-solving capabilitiesProficiency in completing detailed security reports and documentationExperience with security monitoring systems and emergency response protocolsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to obtain and maintain required security certificationsBasic computer skills for report writing and communicationPrevious security experience in a corporate environment preferredMust be available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situationsAdditional InformationBoyd Gaming is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.
