A Security Officer provides security for property at hospitals, hotels, warehouses or office buildings. Monitors entrances and patrols buildings, watches for intruders or vandals; reports building maintenance problems; deals with customers or visitors that create a disturbance in the building.
Burlington, MA / Bedford, MA Securitas Security Services is seeking a dependable and professional Security Officer to support operations at client sites in Bedford, MA & Burlington, MA The Security Officer will help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, contractors, visitors, and company property through routine patrols, access control, and incident response procedures. This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and comfortable working independently in an industrial setting during weekend shifts. Key Responsibilities Monitor facility access points and verify employee, contractor, and visitor credentials Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the manufacturing site Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security concerns Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately and professionally Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and client requests Enforce client site policies and security procedures Provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors Maintain communication with site management and Securitas leadership throughout the shift Assist with emergency response procedures, including evacuations and medical incidents when necessary Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous security, military, manufacturing, or customer service experience preferred but not required Strong communication and observation skills Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment Basic computer and report-writing skills Must pass background screening and any required drug testing Valid driver's license preferred Benefits you receive working with
