Security Patrol Officer Position Summary:
Patrols assigned areas to ensure a safe and secure environment for residents and staff. Responds to emergency situations, and requests security assistance as needed. Provides support if needed for emergency situations involving medical staff. In addition, demonstrate a strong commitment to the philosophy and goals of the mission of HSL and recognize member' dignity and choices in aspects of daily life. Work with team to meet all needs of the member and assisted living facility by actively participating in activities, work and the social environment. Strive to make every encounter with a member into a positive and meaningful experience and opportunity, while providing safe and efficient quality of care.Core Competencies:
Good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of security procedures and equipment. Maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Core CARE competencies.Position Responsibilities:
- Responds to alarms and security emergencies.
- Responds to requests for security assistance, including but not limited to; vehicle assistance, door unlocks, escorts and alarms.
- Maintains patrols of the area as prescribed in the post orders.
Qualifications:
- Must exhibit and foster outstanding customer service skills at all times.
- Must operate as a team player at all times.
- Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
- Obtain BLS, EMT, or First Responder certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, pull, and push a minimum of fifty pounds.
- Must be able to perform both internal and external (Outdoors) patrols in all weather conditions.
- Able to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time.
