Job Description
Security Officer - Truck Yard Are you dependable, alert, and comfortable working independently? Securitas is looking for a professional Security Officer to provide the overall security of a client property, including the building and truck yard. In this role, you'll conduct hourly patrols of the truck yard using an on-site security vehicle, monitor the property from the guard shack, and maintain a visible security presence throughout the site. You'll help protect the property, vehicles, employees, and assets while identifying and reporting anything unusual or out of place. No security experience necessary! If you have a background in retail, food service, hospitality, customer service, transportation, or another fast-paced environment, your experience can be a great fit. We'll provide the training and everything you need to get started in a career in security.
Pay Rate:
$25 per hourPart-Time Shifts:
Wednesday & Thursday 6pm-6am Saturday & Sunday 6am-6pmFull-Time Shifts:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 6pm-6am Key Responsibilities Provide overall security of the client property, including the building and truck yard Conduct scheduled hourly patrols throughout the truck yard using an on-site vehicle Monitor the property, vehicles, gates, and surrounding areas for suspicious or unauthorized activity Maintain a visible security presence throughout the property Monitor activity from the on-site guard shack Monitor and control access to the property as required Conduct regular inspections of the building and yard Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, property damage, or other concerns Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports Communicate professionally with employees, drivers, visitors, and client representatives Follow all site-specific security policies, procedures, and post orders Provide professional and helpful customer service while maintaining a strong security presence Benefits You Receive Working With Us Advancement opportunities - Securitas always strives to promote from within! Requirements Strong communication and customer service skills High level of professionalism and reliability Ability to remain alert and observant throughout the shift Ability to work independently Comfortable sitting, standing, walking, and driving for extended periods of time Comfortable working both inside the guard shack and outdoors in the truck yard Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record High school diploma or GED Must be at least 18 years old Ability to complete all pre-employment requirements prior to starting We help make your world a safer place.
