Trains new officers and works with officers to develop safety plans for buildings the monitor, including lock down plans. May monitor electronic surveillance equipment.

Job Description

Security Supervisor Note:
The compensation range noted above represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. To effectively supervise the day-to-day activities of the Security Department and its personnel in compliance with the policies and procedures of the Medical Center and all applicable regulatory agencies. To ensure that all Medical Center safety and security policies and procedures are enforced on the Medical Center campus.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, Management, or other related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Valid current Massachusetts driver's license; ability to pass a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles review with no previous record of traffic violations; current firearms identification card; ability to pass psychological profile assessment; Two years of supervisory experience; previous security/public safety experience
