POSITION SUMMARY
Provides a visible deterrence to crime and prohibited activities within the Health Center by being noticeably present. Responds within 2-3 minutes to emergency and non-emergency situations as reported by the staff. Responsible for opening the Health Center. Ensures the building is de-alarmed, appropriate doors are open and unlocked. At the close of business, ensures the Health Center is secured by checking all the doors, checks that all persons have left the building, shuts off lights and unnecessary appliances, and secures all outside doors and alarms the building. Escorts visitors, patients and personnel to various locations of the Health Center as needed. Reports to supervisor any incidence of visitor or employee actions which could result in injury or loss to company or employees. Accepts deliveries of medications and packages by signing the appropriate documentation and making the proper distributions of such in a timely manner. Prepares and completes the delivery receipt log in a leadable manner. Assists in the maintenance and housekeeping duties as needed. Monitors walks during in climate weather and assess in treating entrance ways if needed. Is responsible for carrying a radio and being able to communicate to other officers clearly over the radio. Must be familiar with the emergency water, gas, fire system and electric shut offs in the event of an emergency situation. Willing to work shifts other than regularly assigned schedule to assure full coverage at the Health Center.What you will need:
High School Diploma; or equivalent and at least one year experience in the field of law enforcement and/or security management; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate's degree preferred. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures to governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, procedure manuals and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Familiarity with applicable federal, state and local regulations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Must meet the physical demands performing the duties of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand and/or walk. May be required to lift up to 75 pounds.What we offer:
