Building Principal Non-Exempt Job Description:
The security monitor is the first point of contact for all incoming employees, students, families, and other guests of the elementary school. The security monitor will manage the front-desk door duty, check in tardy students, and check out students for dismissals. If the day allows, the monitor may help by monitoring the halls of the school and watching camera footage if needed. Other duties include directing traffic during drop-off and pick-up times, and other duties as assigned by the principal.
The ideal candidate will:
Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the elementary school security philosophy as well as the students Serve as the initial point of contact for all visitors and answer their questions Utilize the login system to check identification for all visitors and issue ID passes Possess excellent customer service skills Be proficient in Google applications and learn the video monitoring system Have the ability to handle multiple tasks and to respond well under pressure Possess a high level of interpersonal skills; generally pleasant demeanor and respectful attitude. The Security Monitor works Monday through Friday. The shift is from 7:15 am to 3:15 pm.
