Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Access Verification in Waltham, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and patients. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare and life sciences location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access control points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting entries, observations, and incidents as required.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related calls, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation protocols.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
