DCI Job Requirement for: Facility Security Officer (FSO)
Location:
APG, MD Job Description Serve as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) Administer the organization's industrial security program Ensure compliance with NISPOM requirements Process and manage facility clearance actions Manage personnel security activities Process clearance applications and reinvestigations Maintain personnel security records and access levels Utilize government security systems Manage records within DISS and related databases Submit required security documentation and reports Conduct security briefings and training Provide initial and annual security awareness training Brief employees on security policies and procedures Oversee classified material management Ensure proper handling, storage, and destruction Conduct inventories of classified holdings Support security inspections and audits Prepare documentation for government reviews Address findings and implement corrective actions Investigate and document security incidents Report incidents to appropriate government agencies Maintain records of security violations and actions Coordinate visitor control and access procedures Verify clearances and visit authorizations Maintain visitor logs and security records Advise management on security matters Recommend policy updates and process improvements Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred) 3+ years of industrial security experience Experience serving as an FSO (preferred) Knowledge of NISPOM requirements and procedures Familiarity with federal security regulations Experience with DISS and security databases Ability to process personnel security actions Experience managing classified information Knowledge of safeguarding requirements required Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills Ability to manage multiple security priorities Excellent communication and training abilities Ability to brief employees and management Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Experience preparing reports and documentation

$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
