AM How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, delivery, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and prepare required reports.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and mall locations, including sales areas, stockrooms, loading areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Help to deter unauthorized activity, theft-related concerns, and policy violations through visible presence, observation, and timely reporting to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
