Job Description
CenCore Group is seeking a Contractor Staff Security Officer (CSSO) to support a mission-critical security services program at a secure federal customer facility. This on-site role serves as a primary security liaison and coordinates personnel security, access sponsorship, roster management, briefing records, compliance tracking, and customer-facing security support. The CSSO helps ensure personnel are properly processed, documented, briefed, trained, and maintained in an eligible status before and during assignment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit complete personnel clearance and access packages to designated customer representatives within required timelines.
Create, maintain, validate, and submit electronic personnel rosters on recurring schedules and as personnel changes affect sponsorship or access.
Coordinate sponsorship, access activation, badging support, onboarding, transfers, and removals with program management, corporate security, and customer representatives.
Track personnel eligibility, access status, briefing completion, escort authorization, recurring training, and compliance expiration dates.
Coordinate escort authorization requests and supporting documentation through approved processes.
Ensure personnel complete required initial and annual security, counterintelligence awareness, operations security, and facility-specific briefings before assignment.
Maintain accurate, auditable security and training records; escalate or remove personnel from duties when required compliance has lapsed.
Coordinate reporting of foreign contacts, foreign activities, foreign connections, and other reportable security matters through approved channels.
Report suspected or confirmed security violations and support incident documentation, inquiry, corrective action, and personnel removal when directed.
Advise program management, recruiting, human resources, site leads, and employees on clearance, access, badging, briefing, and security compliance requirements.
Protect sensitive personnel and security information and limit access to authorized individuals with a valid need to know.
Provide status reporting on pending packages, access risks, expired requirements, and potential staffing impacts.
