As a Custom Protection Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol in Rockville, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, members, tenants, and/or shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter, while maintaining awareness of changing conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and report unusual activity or unauthorized access attempts. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed. Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and help to deter unwanted activity through a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
Must possess one or more of the following: Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service Possess an Armed Guard Card/License. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
